Orpheus Tried
o' the poison without a remedy, and the fool i would be! if i turned around to face you, and you i did not see!
Orpheus Tried
Where you went I tried to follow, rushing the silent night with strings fighting, ringing! playing past the styx red-light! Calling, became your name to sing in magma-black winds where day would never break, and snakes hissed and slithered pain, bit poison in your veins — sent you down down the deepest Olympian gouge locked in the fiery lake, dropped head first and left to drown... swimming ~ my messy eyes had found you there, decidedly divine sharing space with everyman in the bottom-pits end-time; yet he must have known me coming, smelt me in the air for no other soul had expected my love to bring me there, but a hole had opened beneath my ground and feet and falling through the black-glass stone a throne appeared in front of me: bronzen skin, ashen hair, a fire instead of eyes he spoke to me of love, sat beside his standing wife; and in my heart a flame had burned a key into your hold, Free! We Are! for the simple price of an order I was told! Enchanted ~ you have made me sound to the ears of that burning devil! Worthy ~ you will make my work to our world so used to peril! now memories will sing in hope of the loving souls, etched along the walls of this dark-violet burning hole! but when I hit that chariot light, caring steps were realized heavy, as plightful clouds blew over and my mind was being levied: doubt knock knocking on the door of my housed heart, where behind remains my dream still walking towards me knock knocking came doubting naturally paralyzing my decision to be free, o' the poison without a remedy, and the fool i would be! if i turned around to face you and you i did not see! in haste I do not trust and you I turn to see and in your eyes I grasp at a smile fading beneath the green; and again you have been taken far, far from me.

I'll remember what you say to me I'll remember how you sound, the longest task will be forgetting the breath of our acceptance; so if you’re you, or just the shadow my future, or suddenly past, always I'll find you pleasant, and a peace in your present cast.
